Once you’ve decided to begin blogging your random thoughts or well targeted ideas, you must figure out how to do so. In other words, which blogging platform will you choose? A blogging platform is special software you choose which will allow your words to be seen in the form of a blog post and the collection of blog posts is your blog.

You may have heard of Blogger, WordPress, Typepad or Live Journal. These are all different blogging platforms. Blogger and WordPress are the most popular.

I have chosen wordpress.org for numerous reasons. My top five reasons for choosing wordpress are the following:

1. Wordpress is simple to use
2. Wordpress has a great support from when I encounter problems.
3. Wordpress is so popular that there are themes and plugins that can help you do anything you want with your blog.
4. Wordpress blogs are easily indexed by Google
5. Wordpress is always improving. New versions are quite frequent.

Blogging is fun and sometimes it’s a chore, but choosing your blogging platform shouldn’t be a chore. Choose WordPress. You won’t be sorry.
